The Daisy Pump Difference - When is a pd pump like a centrifugal pump?

The difference between Daisy pumps and everything else that's out there is that Daisy's suction pressure is independent of ambient pressure because there is no shaft seal.
* It can be any pressure that the suction port is connected up to and the pump doesn’t know the difference.
*It can be pipeline pressure if the pump is sampling what's in the pipeline and delivering the sample back into the pipeline.
*It can be at ground level for an oil system that is high up on a windmill.
