another avenue to consider is an AODD design with two diaphragms sandwiched together. a probe or leak detection device will pick up a leak in the primary diaphragm and the secondary will contain the product and not allow it to get to the air side -…

WHAT TO DO TO COPE IN THIS DOWNTURN ?

We market umps and valves in Europe thru distributors. Many ask what other countries are doing in the pump sector to stay in business .
Any inputs are appreciated

Hi Tom,
I left Elsevier a couple of years ago, since then I've been doing a mixture of writing and consultancy assignments for various clients. Last year, I launched a publishing business producing reports on different sectors of the pump industry. The idea is to keep people informed about changes in the structure of the industry and the major trends that are affecting the pump markets. While there is a huge amount of information available on the web these days, the quality and quantity make it hard to get a clear picture of what is happening. We're trying to provide some clarity and help newcomers, especially, understand the structure of the pump industry more easily and quickly.

It is hard work and I have to wear lots of different hats, but makes a big change from the bureaucratic world of Reed Elsevier, and I get to see more of my family!

Best regards,

Mark
