How to deal with economic uncertainty???

I was just doing a little research and I found an interesting read that inspired me to blog. I think if everyone thought like Mr. Bill Sifflard it would be a different time completely. If we can think positive, we could turn around this economy. Who knows why this all started, but it sometimes feels like we talked ourselves into it…. Let’s talk ourselves OUT of it! Join me in a positive spin!

Water Treatment in Tuscaloosa

I have been with Pumps & Systems magazine for 5 years and I am continually surprised at the number of pumps that surround me. Before I started the job, I NEVER saw a pump! Now, I see them everywhere... I can sometimes even tell you who manufactured it! What I have found is... WE COULD NOT SURVIVE WITH OUT PUMPS! Here is an interesting story about a water treatment facility in our home town of Tuscaloosa! See any of your products in there?

Thanks, looks like we are the minority! I am just fishing my way through the sites trying to see where to go. I was let go last month and to get a decent job I need to travel over an hour...I have to weigh out my choices here.

First, you are definitely not in trouble.
Second, I am probably in trouble for being too sensitive.
Third, no I haven't talked to your husband; I don't want to get either one of us in trouble.
Fourth, forgive me if I was being too defensive.
Fifth, thanks for welcoming me into the group. I hope to learn more about pumps and systems with my involvement in the group. My background is primarily in electrical and automation, with a few other random technologies thrown in there. If there is any way I can be helpful to the group within those topic areas, I'm happy to contribute.
By the way, is it possible to get a copy of your magazine? If you wish, I am happy to send you copies of the three publications I serve. Just let me know.

What am I doing on here, you ask? Another member of the group, Chikezie Nwaoha, who is also a highly esteemed colleague, invited me to join. I gladly accepted. I'm not sure I understand the tone of your question. Was it an invitation for me to introduce myself to the group? It's one of the down sides to electronic communication -- very difficult to judge tone. If there are reasons I shouldn't be in this group, let me know what they are. Otherwise, my intentions are honorable: I wish to learn as much as I can as well as enable others to learn if, and whenever I can.
Thank you,
Jack Smith

Well Charli, the isue is i am doing my final year project for my engineering degree on a multistage vertical pump, and i have to make that ms vertical pump self priming from a height of 6m from the water level so i thought of designing a side channel pump that we can assemble at the front of the vertical pump to create such a low pressure to pull the water from a height of 6m. BUT MY PROBLEM IS I CANT FIND ANY DETAILED TEXT BOOK ON SIDE CHANNEL PUMPS or LIQUID RING PUMPs THAT I CAN I USE TO PREDICT THE DESIGN AND HENCE THE PERFORMANCE of this SPriming system that i plan to assemble.
So i was thinking if you could refer me to somebody expert in these pumps so i will be able to benefit his/her knowledge.
Thank you in advance
